Orange Phase Avinox M2S: British aluminum with 160 mm and a lot of personality
The Orange Phase Avinox M2S does not look like just another catalogue eMTB. British aluminium, mullet wheels, 160 mm front and rear travel, an 800 Wh battery and the Avinox M2S motor. In a market full of similar bikes, this one at least has personality.

Avinox M2S motor and battery
Orange claims 130 Nm and up to 150 Nm in boost for the Avinox M2S, plus 1,300 W peak power. All versions have an 800 Wh Avinox battery, DP100 display, BC100 remote and Avinox 12A fast charger.
The brand states a 0 to 75% charge in approximately 1.5 hours with that charger. In real use, that could change how riders plan routes, trips or bike-park days with multiple sessions.
Chassis: aluminium with Orange character
Orange retains its folded-aluminium monocoque-style construction, manufactured and assembled in the United Kingdom. It is neither the lightest nor the most discreet option, but it offers a clear identity against so many similarly shaped carbon frames.
The Phase uses MX wheels, 29” at the front and 27.5” at the rear, a Boost 148×12 axle, UDH hanger and aluminium lower-frame protection. There is also a bottle mount under the top tube.
Suspension and geometry
The frame offers 160 mm of rear travel with a 205×65 trunnion-mounted rear shock, paired with a 160 mm fork. Claimed progression is around 14.78%, aiming for support without losing sensitivity on rough terrain.
For geometry, Orange quotes a 64º head angle, 76º seat angle, 448 mm chainstays and 480 mm reach in size L. The aim is clear: hard descending without making climbing a punishment, using Avinox's assistance.
Prices and versions
The Phase Avinox is available in both RS and Factory versions. The published prices start at 8,250 pounds / 9,500 euros / 10,500 dollars for RS, and 8,750 pounds / 10,000 euros / 11,000 dollars for Factory.
It is not a cheap bike. Orange is selling in-house manufacturing, character and a powerful Avinox system. Buyers must decide whether they want something different or prefer a more “global” eMTB with a stronger distribution network.
eMTB PRO opinion
I like that Orange is not trying to copy everyone. The Phase Avinox has identity, aluminium, serious travel and a hugely powerful motor. But the usual point still stands: for 9,500 euros, buyers should demand impeccable finish, warranty cover, service and performance.
The big question for a real-world test: is M2S assistance finely controllable in this chassis, or does it make a bike that looks spectacular on paper but demands too much of the average rider? Only riding it will tell.
